Music Spotlyt

till the night ends

by Sunny

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Sunny began his journey in music at the mere age of 12 when he began producing Electronic Dance Music in his free time. This interest slowly branched out into Hip-Hop and R&B at the age of 15 after listening to the late XXXTENTACION, Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Peep, and The Weeknd. Although an unfamiliar route for many Indian American artists, the Hip-Hop scene was fascinating for Sunny. At the age of 16, Sunny began experimenting with vocals due to the lack of connections with other artists who could rap on his instrumental tracks. This is when he released his first official Album, “Fool’s Paradise”. After much appraisal from peers, Sunny continued to sing and rap consistently. At the age of 17, Sunny released the “DEAD END” EP, being the most dark project he has released. The success of the tracks, “WOKE UP” and “MOON”, he was able to rapidly grow his audience in a matter of months reaching his first 100k streams. This lead to the release of more projects such as “THINGS I’VE DONE” and “RUNNIN’ ON FUMES” which resonated with fans immensely.
The release of the teaser EP, “CALMB4THESTORM”, we see a much more dark and psychedelic take on this hybrid Hip-Hop genre. Sunny’s distinct high range of powerful auto-tuned vocals and catchy melodies make him stand out from the rest of his competition.
