Noisegun’s new single, “Sado Tango”, is immersive, powerful and fearlessly unsettling. It is serious and fierce but vulnerable in its honesty and weight.
French American artist NoiseGun based in Long Beach (Los Angeles, CA) crosses musical and cultural borders, from Dark Wave to Synthpop, French coldwave, Shoegaze, Post-Punk, Industrial and Electronica with songs in both English & French.
Noisegun’s new single “Sado Tango” is a French electro-tango rock song (electronica with a Tango influence). The song features soaring guitars and pounding drums that create a melodic quality sure to make it a live favourite. The new single, a self-defined power ballad of admittedly dark origins, features soaring guitars and a striking crash of lively drums. It also makes excellent use of the contrast between these heavier moments and more subtle space and contemplation.
The musicianship is second to none, and it’s just a musical performance by Noisegun himself. The guitars wail with a shimmering, ear-splitting brilliance and the drums have a majestic feel. The emotional intensity of the song carries it through to its end and is sure to make it a live favourite. It’s easy to get lost in the moment and forget that this is a solo project, such is the level of musicianship on display.
For an up-and-coming artist, Noisegun has quite an impressive range. He shows great versatility and talent. He is an artist to watch out for in the future, and ‘Sado Tango’ is a perfect example of his talent.
